The Perfect Steak

Recipes 1. Let your steak reach room temperature before grilling. Some people might tell you that this isn't necessary, however I feel that this helps grill your steak more evenly and faster.

2. Trim the steak of excess fat. Any strips of fat should be about 1/4" thick. Also cut through the fat strip about every 1 1/2". When grilling fat shrinks fast than the meat and it can cause your steaks to curl.

Life

Poems & Creative WritingLIFE, believe, is not a dream,
So dark as sages say;
Oft a little morning rain
Foretells a pleasant day:
Sometimes there are clouds of gloom,
But these are transient all;
If the shower will make the roses bloom,
Oh, why lament its fall?
Rapidly, merrily,
Life's sunny hours flit by,
Gratefully, cheerily,
Enjoy them as they fly.

What though death at times steps in,
And calls our Best away?
What though Sorrow seems to win,
O'er hope a heavy sway?
Yet Hope again elastic springs,
Unconquered, though she fell,
Still buoyant are her golden wings,
Still strong to bear us well.
Manfuly, fearlessly,
The day of trial bear,
For gloriously, victoriously,
Can courage quell dispair!

Della Manley: Barbican Square

Music Review by Tyrone S Reid, Jamaica Observer
Della Manley's new release, Barbican Square, her second full-length album, is the type of album that is the perfect soundtrack for a rainy Sunday afternoon. Equal parts jazz, blues, reggae, acoustic soul and gentle funk, Manley's record is a mature and pleasing distraction from the weight of the world. Her voice is pleasant and evokes a sense of security and calm. more... [ Buy It and Sample Tracks ]
